भोपाल: सरकार ने नए साल में पुलिसकर्मियों पर नए साल की अनोखी सौगात दी है। सरकार ने पुलिसकर्मियों को साप्ताहिक अवकाश देने का फैसला लिया है और यह नियम आज यानी 1 जनवरी से ही लागू किया जाएगा। इस घोषणा के साथ ही पुलिसकर्मियों के चेहरे पर मुस्कान देखते ही बन रहा है। बता दें मध्य प्रदेश और छत्तीसगढ़ के पुलिसकर्मी लंबे समय से साप्ताहिक अवकाश और वेतन विसंगती की को दूर करने की मांग कर रहे थे। वहीं, दूसरी ओर छत्तीसगढ़ में पुलिसकर्मियों को साप्ताहिक अवकाश दिए जाने के मुद्दे पर सरकार विचार कर रही है।

मिली जानकारी के अनुसार, मध्य प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री कमलनाथ की इच्छा के अनुसार प्रदेश के पुलिस महानिदेशक ऋषि कुमार शुक्ला ने पुलिसकर्मियों को साप्‍ताहिक अवकाश दिए जाने के निर्देश दिए हैं। इसके लिए मंगलवार को सर्कुलर भी जारी कर दिया गया। सर्कुलर में कहा गया है, ‘‘नव वर्ष 2019 के अवसर पर यह निर्णय लिया गया है कि थाना एवं जिलों में तैनात विशेष सशस्त्र बल (एसएएफ) की कंपनियों में पदस्थ पुलिसकर्मियों, जिन्हें साप्ताहिक अवकाश नहीं दिया जाता है, उन्हें तत्काल प्रभाव से साप्ताहिक अवकाश दिया जाएगा।’’
