नईदिल्ली : तमिलनाडु के पेरम्बूर में विधानसभा उपचुनाव के नामांकन के दौरान एक प्रत्याशी का हलफनामा सुर्खियों का विषय बन गया है. निर्दलीय प्रत्याशी जे मोहनराज ने अपने चुनावी हलफनामे में बताया है कि उन्होंने वर्ल्ड बैंक से 4 लाख करोड़ रुपये का लोन ले रखा है.

प्रत्याशी ने जो हलफनामा दिया है, उसमें बताया गया है कि उनके पास 1,76,00,00,000 (एक लाख छिहत्तर हजार करोड़ ) रुपये कैश है, जबकि उनकी पत्नी के पास बीस हजार रुपये कैश है. हलफनामे की मुताबिक उनकी पत्नी के पास 2 लाख 50 हजार की कीमत के गहने हैं. तमिलनाडु के पेरम्बूर विधानसभा के लिए उपचुनाव होने वाले हैं. उपचुनाव के लिए प्रत्याशियों की ओर से नामाकंन भरा जा रहा है.

सीएनएन न्यूज18 से बातचीत में मोहनराज ने कहा, “मैं साल 2009 से ही झूठे हलफनामें दाखिल कर रहा हूं. 2009 में मैंने लिखा था कि मेरे पास 1,977 करोड़ है. तब मैंने साउथ चेन्नई से चुनाव लड़ने का फैसला किया था. 2016 में मैंने दो विधानसभा सीटों से चुनाव लड़ा था और हलफनामे में गलत जानकारी दी थी. कोई जांच नहीं हुई. जब बड़े-बड़े नेता अपने एफिडेविट में गलत जानकारी दे सकते हैं तो मैं क्यों नहीं?”

वहीं उनकी पत्नी आनंदी एस का कहना है, “हमारा मकसद दुनिया को यह दिखाना है कि एफिडेविट में नेता अपने संपत्ति की जो जानकारी देते हैं उन्हें उनकी संपत्ति की सही जानकारी नहीं मानना चाहिए.”
