तत्कालीक एसपी एमएल कोटवानी व क्राइम ब्रांच निरीक्षण बृजेश कुशवाहा की भूमिका सराहनीय

कांकेर:ःःदुर्गूकोंदल में दो साल पहले हुए सामूहिक दुष्कर्म के मामले में विशेष न्यायालय ने पांच आरोपियों को उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई है। मामला 21 मार्च 2017 का है। विवाहिता रात को घर में अकेली थीं। इसका फायदा उठाकर आरोपी घर में जबर्दस्ती दाखिल हो गया और चाकू की नोंक पर आरोपी कृष्णा जैन, विजय, वेंकटेश नाग, गजेंद्र सूर्यवंशी, हंसराज जैन ने महिला का अपरहण कर गांव के तालाब के पास ले गया। इसके बाद पांचों ने सामूहिक दुष्कर्म किया। वारदात को अंजाम देकर आरोपी महिला को वहीं छोड़कर फरार हो गए। महिला ने घर आकर अपने पति को दुष्कर्म की बात बताई। जिसके बाद महिला अपने पति के साथ दुर्गूकोंदल थाना पहुंचकर एफआईआर दर्ज करवाई। पुलिस ने आरोपियों के खिलाफ अपराध पंजीबद्ध कर सभी को गिरफ्तार कर न्यायालय में चालान पेश किया।
इस घटना के आरोपियों को पकड़ना कांकेर पुलिस के लिए टेढ़ी खीर थी क्योंकि इस घटना के बाद पुलिस को किसी तरह का साक्ष्य नही मिला लेकिन कांकेर पुलिस ने इसी चैलेंज के तौर पर लेते हुए अपनी जांच प्रारम्भ की। कांकेर जिले के तत्कालीन पुलिस अधीक्षक एमएल कोटवानी ने इस मामले की जांच क्राइम ब्रांच को सौंपी। तत्कालीन क्राइम ब्रांच प्रभारी निरीक्षक बृजेश कुशवाहा ने जांच प्रारम्भ करते हुए करीब 15 दिनों तक घोर नक्सली क्षेत्र में कैम्प लगा कर मोबाइल को ढूंढ निकाला व मोबाइल को ट्रेस कर आरोपियों का सुराग लगाया। उक्त मोबाइल घटना के समय ही उधर शौच के लिए गए व्यक्ति की थी जिसे आरोपियों ने लूट लिया था। कांकेर पुलिस की बारीकी से की गई जांच व साक्ष्य इक्कट्ठा कर न्यायालय में पेश किया। जिसके फल स्वरूप इस आरोपियों को न्यायालय ने कठोर सजा सुनाई है। जिला एवं सत्र न्यायाधीश हेमंत सराफ ने पीड़िता के बयान, मेडिकल रिपोर्ट और परिस्थिति जनक साक्ष्य के आधार पर पांचों आरोपियों को मृत्यु होने तक आजीवन कारावास की सज़ा सुनाई है।
